October 2020, Lil was accused of physically assaulting his girl friend by a twitter user, Mayoks Michael. According to Mayoks, the said girl friend had lost good opportunities as a result of physical abuse.
In swift reaction, Davido Music Worldwide was said to have terminated a record deal with Lil Frosh as a result of his domestic violence.
In spite of controversies and other setbacks, Lil has continued to enjoy large supporters, having over 300,000 followers on his Instagram.
