Yaw Tog has his birth name as Thorsten Owusu Gyimah. He is a popular Ghanaian young rapper and songwriter whose music, majors on drill, also known as Asakaa in Ghana language. He is also famous with hip hop genre of music.

He was born on May 8, 2003 in Kumasi, Ghana. He grew up in one of the busiest neighborhoods in Kumasi with his parents and siblings from a middle class family, which ultimately influenced greatly his music profession.

The song ‘Sore’ which also means rise up in English in Ghanaian language was released to the musical waves on the 3rd Of September 2020.

The song also peaked at Apple Music Chart Ghana, Boomplay, Spotify, and other leading music streaming platforms for weeks. The music video of the song garnered over 2.2m views on YouTube alone and the number was due to double within short time, unimaginably.

Stormzy, a British national and mother a Ghanaian citizen preferred to work with Yaw Tog to identify and encourage him to double his efforts on his project as a Yaw‘s mentor and a big brother.
