On how the young actress combines her school with acting, Mariam said it requires proper planning ahead. In her words, “when I get the production schedule and know the number of days that I would be on set, my mum would then speak with my class teacher, who then speaks with the subject teachers to get the topics they are to teach while I would not be in school”.
With this, she reads on her own and does her assignments. So, she does not really miss out on school activities.
She concluded that “though, it is tasking, I do it for the love of acting”.
Again, Mariam is full of praises for her mum who she described as her coach and strong influencer who ensures that she is focused and her attention not divided.
The young talented Nollywood actress also revealed that apart from the money making in the profession, acting has exposed her as she has travelled to different places and made new friends. She has also worked with good number of top celebrities in the industry.
Aside acting, Mariam is also a good singer and a fantastic dancer. The young talented star loves to support and speak for kids that need help.
Mariam is optimistic that her movie, ‘The Children of Mud’ will receive support from organisations and companies, so that together, we can help the less priviledged in the society.

In 2018, Mariam got the AMVCA Awards (Africa Movie Viewers Choice Awards) for the Best Actress, “Children of The Mud”. She was recognized as the first-ever child actress to have been nominated for this award.
In the same year, Mariam was also crowned as the Best Child Actress in the movie, ‘The Coffin Salesman’ at SPAR (an award-winning supermarket that supports big-time projects in Nigeria. SPAR was supported by “The Real Time Festival”, which promotes movies acted by children.
