Browny Ifeanyi Igboegwu is his full name and widely known and addressed as Browny Igboegwu. He is a Nigerian actor, television personality and a Philanthropist.
He was born on the 30th of August, 1976 in Onitsha Anambra State Nigeria. He is exceptionally creative and talented in acting and interpreting roles accorded him by movie directors and producers in the industry.
Educational Background
Browny had his primary and secondary education in Onitsha, Anambra state. After obtaining his first and secondary school certificates respectively, he proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nnsuka in Enugu State, where he bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and International Relations. Since graduation, and joining Nollywood, he has been very active in the movie industry.
His Acting Career
Browny Igboegwu joined Nollywood in the year 2005 and made a fantastic appearance in his first movie titled “Expensive Error”, where he played the role of a cultist. It was this same movie that gave him wide recognition and galvanized him to greatness in the entertainment industry in Nigeria.
He again featured in another blockbuster movie “Marry Me” in company of Nollywood stars like Oge Okoye, Nonson Diobi and others and gained more recognition and popularity in acting.
One remarkable thing about Browny is his determination to do better and succeed in his endeavour. For instance, in the course of his acting career, he noticed some mistakes and lapses that were inherent in the movie industry and bent on correcting it. This he did by approaching a director in the industry, Oke Ozubeluoko, who on listening to Browny graciously gave him the opportunity to play a role in a movie and he performed brilliantly to the admiration of the director. Since then he has remained relevant in acting.
Today, Browny has featured in over 100 movies since his journey into Nollywood including One More Kiss, Professor Johnbull, The Origin, Marry Who You Love, Unfinished Business, Expensive Error and several others too numerous to mention here.
He is known to act in action movies alongside veteran Nollywood celebrities like Zubby Michael, Hanks Anuku, Sylvester Madu, Junior Pope, Jim Iyke, Oge Okoye, Nonson Diobi and others.
