Joseph Van Vicker is his full name but widely known and addressed as Van Vicker.

He is a Ghanaian renowned multiple award winning actor, producer, director, television personality, an investor and a Philanthropist. He is handsome, creative, and exceptionally talented and has starred in a number of movies.

He was born on the 1^st of August 1977 in Ghana to a Ghanaian/Liberian mother and a Dutch father. He revealed that he had his up-bringing not only in Ghana but around the world because of his mother’s trips to different countries of the world.

Van Vicker had his primary education in Ghana and later at the famous Mfantsipim school in Accra Ghana where he obtained his first and secondary school certificates respectively. It was the same Mfantsipim school attended by the former Secretary General, late Kofi Annan. Van Vicker made his entry into the Ghanaian and Nigerian movie industry first as a radio presenter at Groove 106.3fm and 91.9fm and later as television personality from 1999 to 2004 where he featured in a popular movie ‘Suncity’. It was a movie that revealed the life on University Campus. In this movie, he played the role of LeRoy King Jr., a Fine Arts student born in the U.S. who came to Suncity to complete his education.

He became more famous after starring in a Ghanaian hit movie “Divine Love”, a move he played a supporting role. The same movie also featured top Ghanaian actors like Majid Michel and Jackie Aygemang who played as male and female characters respectively. Van Vicker is known to act in most romantic movies alongside the big stars in the Ghanaian movie industry like Nadia Buari, Ramsey Nousah, Jim Iyke and others.

 

Van Vicker is also a Nollywood actor and has acted in most Nollywood movies alongside Tonto Dikeh, Mercy Johnson, Stephanie Okereke, Chika Ike, Jim Iyke and others.
