Sam Obiago is a versatile Nigerian actor, producer and television personality.
He was born and bred up in Kaduna state in the northern part of Nigeria. He hails from Delta State in the south southern Nigeria.
Educational Background
Sam had his primary and secondary education in Lagos state where he obtained his first and secondary certificates respectively.
He later went to Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Enugu to have a degree in Mass Communication and a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Federal University of Technology, Akure in Ondo State.
His Acting Career
Sam Obiago joined the Nigerian Movie Industry in 2013. After undergoing series of auditions, he began acting, accepting minor characters in movies.
He eventually rose to fame after starring in several Nollywood hit movies, some of include My Decision, When A Beautiful Girl Loves a Kitchen Boy, Jealousy, A Poison to the Heart, The Ashawo Maid, Magic Dragon, The Love of the Father and Daughter among others.
He is creative, skillful and exceptionally talented Nollywood actor. He can interpret movie roles and can as well accept any character in movies. He is known to play the role of King, Chief and wealthy personality in most Nollywood movies.
He is also popular in acting romantic, glamour, epic and action-tragic movies alongside the big stars in the industry like Rachael Okonkwo, Yul Edochie, Ken Erics, Zubby Michael, Regina Daniels, Destiny Etiko and other celebrities.
Sam Obiago is also a producer and has successfully produced a number of movies including the famous “Grevious Oath”.
He speaks both English and French languages, a rare advantage he has over his counterparts in the industry.
He is known to have had a successful career in the banking industry having worked in various financial institutions like Eco Bank, Eco Transitional Incorporation, Barclay’s Bank, Access Bank and Success finance in Cote Devoir.

Sadly, the renowned Nollywood actor Sam Obiago was reported dead on Thursday, December 23, 2023. The news of his death was endorsed by Actors Guild of Nigeria AGN, Emeka Rollas in a post made on Instagram.
There is however no available information about the cause of his death. The sad news has broken the hearts of many especially his numerous fans who take delights in watching his movies.
