Ali Nuhu is Nigerian actor, producer, director, dancer, script writer and widely known as King of Kannywood”, a movie industry headquarter based in Kano City in the northern Nigeria.
He was born on the 15th of March, 1974 to the family of Poloma and Fatima Karderam Digema Nuhu. He hails from Bama village in Borno State and had his up-bringing in Kano City of Nigeria.
Educational Background
Ali Nuhu had his primary and secondary education in Kano. After obtaining his first and secondary school certificates respectively, he went to the University of Jos, Plateau State where he bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Geography.
He went further to the University of California in the United States of America to read Film production and Cinematic Arts and a further training at the famous Asian school of Media studies, in Noida, New Delhi, India.
His Acting Career
Ali Nuhu began his acting career immediately he returned to Nigeria when he joined the Hausa Movie Industry (Kannywood) in 1999.
He has since acted in over 200 movies both in Hausa and Nollywood movies some of which include Last Flight to Abuja, Blood and Henna, Sitanda, Nasibi, Confusion Na Wa, Banana Island Ghost among others.
He is creative, skillful and exceptionally talented Nollywood and Kannywood actor. He adds humour to acting and is gifted at interpreting movie roles. He can as well take any character in movie and no wonder, he has won hearts of media who often describes Nuhu as King of Kannywood.
He is popular with both English and Hausa speaking movies, an advantage that shot him to fame and recognition both in Nollywood and Hausa (Kannywood) entertainment industry.
