He was born on the 10th of December 1993 in Lagos to the family of Oluwakemi Osodi. His father was a manager in the Fuji music company, a strong influence to his musical career.
Dammy had his primary and secondary education in Lagos state where he obtained his first and secondary school certificates respectively.
Dammy began his musical career dated back to his early age of 6 as a member of his church choir, as well as ministering in various churches.
He became more famous at Providence Heights Secondary school in Lagos where he was known for his brilliant dance performance.
With time, Dammy emerged the much talked about and one of the best to watch in the Nigerian music industry. He revealed that he credited his signing to Hypertek Digital to his rare opportunity of meeting 2 Face Idibia at a birthday party in Lagos. Impressed by his wonderful performance, Idibia promised to sign him to his record label.
Dammy signed to Hypertek Digital and 960 Music Group known for his famous hit single “My Dear”. He is known to have won the prestigious Rookie of the year award at the Headies in 2012.

In 2018, Dammy Krane was arrested in Miami, Florida for using stolen credit card to book a ticket in a private Tapjets while on holiday in Miami. He denied all of this and promised to bring out all that happened.
He was however released on bail condition of $7,500 and was subsequently discharged and acquitted by the American Court.
The mother commenting on the issue maintained innocence of her son and blamed his son’s woes on the show promoter that booked his flight ticket.
