Kenny Blaq, known by his stage name was born Otolorin Kehinde Peter. He is a Nigerian stand-up comedian and singer.
Kenny was born in Ejigbo, in Lagos state the date and month of his birth not known. He is the last child in a family of seven children.
Kenny’s Educational Background
He trained as a compere and presenter at the FRCN training school in Lagos after having had a stint with SMA FM, a college community-based radio station.
Kenny’s Career
Kenny Blaq began his comedy career in 2008. He has since performed in various comedy shows like I Laff with Mc Abbey, Gbenga Adeyinka (Laffmattaz), Ali Baba’s (January 1st Concert), Mc Amana’s (Di Speakable Me), Cool FM Praise JAM, DAREY’s Love Like A Movie, AY LIVE, BasketMouth’s (Lord of the Ribs) and many others.
The comic merchant is creative, skillful and exceptionally talented. He is currently one of the Nigerian comedians whose journey in the entertainment industry so far, has been quite tremendous.
His show “The Oxymoron Of Kennyblaq” won Best Comedy Show at the 2017 and 2018 Naija 102.3 FM Comedy Awards.
September 30 2018, Blaq had his first major headlined International event, titled “Kenny Blaq State of Mind”, where he appeared at “Indaba X; The Laughing Leopard Comedy Event”, held at the Royal Festival Hall.
In 2018, Kenny Blaq made the list of 100 most influential youths in Africa. He again received the prestigious 2020 Ooni Youth Royal Award.
