Ghanaian Actress Rose Akua Atta Mensah: Biography And Net Worth

Rose Akua Atta Mensah, also widely and professionally known as Kyeiwaa, is a famous Ghanaian actress known for the role of a witch in the movie, Kyeiwaa which also earned her nickname.

She was born in 1963 in Ghana into the family of Nana Appiah Kubi. Her educational background is however not available.

 

Rose Akua’s Acting Career

Rose Akua kick-started her career as a singer in the band known as the African Brothers of which Nana Kwame Ampadu was the lead singer.

She then ventured into acting in Akan Drama TV series, where she was singled out by a renowned actor, Nana Bosomprah, who then introduced her to the Cantata TV Drama and groomed her to be a good actor.

Rose has since starred in several Ghanaian popular movies, some of which are:

• Best Actress in a Leading Role (Local Language) in 2011
• She was a co-winner of the Best Actress Comedy
• Favourite Actors Awards in 2015

Her Personal Life

Rose Akua was first married to Daniel Osei, a spare parts dealer in Kumasi. The two dated for about one year before doing the traditional Ghanaian wedding ceremony in Brofoyeduru. As to be expected, the ceremony was well attended by close friends and family members.

Wonder, they say will never end. A few hours after the wedding, a woman named Florence Kyei called in one of the radio stations in Ghana, claiming that she had been married to the groom for close to 20 years.

The claims eventually nullified the marriage which led to Rose entering another relationship with Michael Kissi Asare in a simple wedding that took place in Massachusetts, USA on Saturday July, 2020.

On 25th December 2011, during the second edition of the Ghana Movie Awards, she was honored with the award of the Best Actress in Supporting Role in Local Language.

In mid-2019, there was a rumour that spread like wide fire in the bush that the celebrated Ghanaian actress, Kyeiwaa was dead. The news of her death was attributed to an unknown ailments.

This was however denied by her manager, who came out to reveal that the actress was hail and healthy and very much alive.
