Jacqueline Acheampong is her real name, but widely and professionally known as Gyakie. She is a popular fast upcoming Ghanaian singer and songwriter who has made significant impact in the music industry.
She was born on December 16, 1998 in Bompso town in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region of Ghana. Gyakie is the daughter of Ghanaian music legend, Ernest Owoahene Nana Acheampong, who was a member of the popular band, Lumba Brothers. Her emergence as a music star is to be expected as Gyakie is from a family of musicians.

Gyakie had her elementary school education in Kumasi. She later did her secondary education at TI Amass secondary school and obtained her secondary school certificate.
She went further to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Gyakie made her entry into the music world at a very young age when she was an active member of her local Church as Choir and served as its lead Vocalists.
She became professionally known when she joined the Ghanaian music industry in 2019 and released her first debut single, ‘Love Is Pretty’.
The song was a huge hit and made Gyakie famous. It also received wide acceptance and mass airplay in various local radio and TV stations across Ghana.
In 2020, the talented singer made her debut EP titled, ‘Seed’. The EP was a made up of a five-track project and the “Forever” track on the Seed EP enjoyed airplay in Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria.
It also topped music charts such as Billboard’s Top Triller Global and Shazams Top 200 charts.
Gyakie released a remix of “Forever” with Nigerian singer Omah Lay in March 2023.
In that same month, she was adjudged the emerging woman of the year at the 2023 3Music Women’s Brunch for the 3Music Awards 2023.
Gyakie has since had International record deal with Sony Music entertainment, RCA Records UK and Sony Music Africa respectively.
