Udoma Peter Kelvin Amba is his real name, widely and professionally known as Kel P Vibes. He is a popular Nigerian record producer, sound engineer, musician and producer for Burna Boy Grammy-nominated Album, “African Giant” in 2019.
He was born on the 15th of August 1996 in Lagos State, Nigeria. His actual place of origin is not known. He is however believed to have come from the south-southern Nigeria, either Akwa Ibom or Cross River State. Kel-P’s educational background is also not available.
Kel-P’s Music Career
Kel P Vibes started off as a singer some years back and has made tremendous impact in the Nigerian music indudstry.
He went into music production in 2016 when he met Sarz, while working on his song and received a popular slogan from him, “It’s Kel P Vibes” which later formed his produced songs.
He was a student under Sarz musical production school for eight months, apparently till mid-2017, after which he began his production career, producing several songs for various artists and mastering his sound.
In 2018, Kel-P Vibes became widely known in music production, and turned out to be one of the most sought-after Nigerian record producers.
In 2019, Kel-P produced Solidstar‘s Eleganza.
Kel-P has since remained very active and relevant in the music space, doing exploit and contributing in no small measures to the growth and development of the Nigerian music industry.
He became a force to reckon with when he produced one of Nigerian’s chart-topping single Yapa by Ceeza Milli.
He is also the producer for the Grammy Award winner Burna Boy’s monster hits “Gbona” and “On The Low” as well as the brain behind Burna Boy‘s “African Giant” album.
The album was nominated for a Grammy award which lost out to Angelique Kidjo.
Kel-P is currently signed to Aristokrat Records and Universal Music France, with a management deal with Jones Worldwide.
In 2023, the versatile entertainer and producer co-produced the Grammy award winning Best Global Music Album, Mother Nature by Angélique Kidjo, and Grammy nominated album Made in Lagos (Deluxe version) by Wizkid.
