Yammi has her real name as Yasirun Yassin Shaban. She is a popular Tanzanian singer and song writer known for mixture of Taarab and Bongo Fleva, famously known as Baibuda.

Yammi was born on 12th May 2002. She hails from Mwanza but grew up in Dar Es Salaam. She is the first born of her mother in a family of three children. She ventured into music against her mother’s initial wishes.
