The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) is a Federal Government Agency charged with the responsibilities of handling all government matters in relation to shipping, safety, maritime labour and coastal waters.

NIMASA Salary Structures and Allowances 2023

Below are the salary structures for NIMASA staff from entry level to top management positions:

  • Entry-Level Salary – In NIMASA receives an average of N100,000 to ₦150,000 per month which amounts to between N1.2 million to N1.8 million in a year.
  • Grade Level 7 (step 1) – NIMASA grade 7 level staff are paid an average salary of N90,000 in a month, which sums up to over a million naira in a year.
  • Grade Level 8 (step 1) – also earn big in NIMASA. Grade level 8 staff earns as much as ₦103,988 monthly and a yearly sum of about ₦1,247,854.
