The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) is a Federal law enforcement agency in Nigeria under the Federal Ministry of Justice Nigeria charged with the responsibility of eliminating the growing, processing, manufacturing, selling, exporting and trafficking of hard drugs.

The NDLEA also targets the leaders of narcotics and money laundering organizations.

NDLEA Salary Structure in Nigeria 2023

The NDLEA salary structure is solely based on the level of your ranking, amount that corresponds with the Consolidated Para-Military Salary Structure (CONPASS).

NDLEA graduates earn an annual salary of about ₦888,956 before deductions, which is about ₦74,000 per month.

Those who make it to the Grade Level 8 Step 2 earn about ₦900,071 per annum (before deductions). That’s about ₦75,000 monthly.

NDLEA employees who are placed on Grade Level 7 Step 1 earn about ₦483,353 per month (before deductions).

An in-house report revealed that most Nigerian counterparts in the same rank with NDLEA officers get at least 50% less. For instance, if a Nigerian Police Sergeant earns around ₦50,000 per month and NDLEA Nigerian sergeant earns as much as N75,000 Naira monthly for doing a similar job. This goes to show that NDLEA officers receive good pay for their services.
