Abimbola Oladokun is his real name, widely known professionally as Bayanni. Also formerly known as Zhenoboy, he is a fast upcoming Nigerian Afro-pop singer and songwriter.
Bayanni was born on June 25, 1997 in Lagos, his home of originality. He grew up in Lagos where he had his primary and secondary education respectively. He was raised in a Christian family.
He went further to study at the Obafemi Awolowo University where he is currently doing his undergraduate studies.
Bayanni’s Music Career
Bayanni kick-started his music career at his early age from his local Church as a Choir.
He built his vocal prowess and eventually became a force to reckon with in songwriting skills and music.
The brilliant music star came to the limelight in 2023 when videos of his cover songs went viral on social media.
He has recorded and released covers of popular songs such as Peru, Jowo, and Felony, which he dropped in 2023. He is also the brain behind singles BMW, African Beauty, Duro, Ballerina and others.
In August 23 2022, Bayanni was unveiled as a newly signed artist to Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records. With this enviable records, he joined the likes of Ayra Starr, Crayon, Rema, Magixx, Boy Spyce, Ruger, Ladipoe and others on the label.

Bayanni has also done record covers of popular songs that he posted on his social media pages to foster his career growth, including the recorded and released cover of Felony by Ckay in April, 2023.
He released the cover of Jowo by Davido on the 14th Of October 2023. Five days later, he again released the cover of Peru by Fireboy DML on the 19th Of October 2023.
On the 12th Of April 2022, Bayanni dropped his highly-anticipated single, ‘African Beauty’. The song was a huge success and received wide airplay on radio and television stations across the country.
African Beauty has garnered thousands of streams and downloads since its release. The song is steadily climbing the Afropop charts not only in the country but the entire Africa.
Bayanni has so far released several singles including Duro (featuring Frescool), BMW and Ballerina.
In August 2022, Bayanni was announced as the newly added artist to the Mavins. The announcement came with a short clip featuring comedian Brain Jotter, Mr Funny and Don Jazzy in a lab setting type of video.
Shortly afterwards, Bayanni released a 4-track project titled, Bayanni EP. This development was a big one, giving him an exclusive license under Mavin Global Holdings to mark his introduction to the global music world. Tracks such as Family, Ta Ta Ta, Kala and Body were part of the Bayanni EP’s project.
