Gbadewonuola Olateju Oyelakin was born in Lagos on January 20, 1979. He is very talented, gifted and a successful Nigerian Comedian, a motivator and has been described as KingTalk Show Host. He is professionally and widely known as Teju Babyface.
Educational Background
Teju Babyface had his elementary education at the prestigious Corona School Apapa, Federal Government College Ogbomoso and the University of Lagos where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Insurance.
Career
He started his career as both an actor and a comedian, and now produces and runs a talk show, The Teju Babyface Show.
Whilst a member of Theatre 15, he featured as the main character in Tade Ogidan’s movie. Diamond Ring (1998). We learnt that though the movie was successful, Teju did not accept any further film roles.
Since then, he has focused more on comedy and this has earned him much success. This young talented, gifted and a motivator has made name both within and outside Nigeria.
His Achievements
Teju Babyface is an Ambassador to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for Nigeria with a focus on Decent Work & Economic Growth. He equally runs a company called Visus Projects.
He created a project “Minding Your Talent”, an initiative to help upcoming young Nigerians and indeed Africans at large to achieve career success. He is the lead founder and mentor at the Mentorship Foundation Africa (formerly known as the Teju Babyface Mentorship Academy).
In 2010 Teju Babyface set up The Teju Babyface Show. The show is currently doing very well and has played host to celebrities and personalities including Music Icon, Chief Sunny Ade, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the current Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, the late Raski Mono, the former Lagos State Governor’s wife, Fashola and many others.
In June 2017, he introduced his mentoring academy website, the Teju Babyface Mentorship Academy. The website has a mission to mentor up coming young Nigerians to solve problems for humanity and achieve success (for themselves) in the process.
In 2017, Teju Babyface published the book, Secrets of the Streets: In this book, he painstakingly brought out 23 Secrets for Achieving Success with Talents.
In 2018, Teju came up with yet another book, Forget Principles, Find a Mentor: How to Connect with the People Who Will Help You Get From Where You Are to Where You Need to Be in Life. Here also, he tried to encourage the youths to embrace hard work and diligence as the surest way to success rather than look up to a mentor.
Personal life
In September 2012, Teju married Oluwatobiloba Banjoko. The marriage is blessed with twins after five years of waiting on 27 July, 2018. The naming ceremony was graced by many comedian celebrities.

This humble young man who took delivery of the brand new black coloured exotic ride was seen sometime ago at City Mall, VI Lagos in the car and when asked about the latest acquisition, he said “Well I thank God o because he has been wonderful”.
