Kate Henshaw is one of the foremost and famous Nollywood actresses, a model, entrepreneur, television personality and a rare philanthropist.

She was born on the 19^th of July, 1971 in Calabar, Cross River State in south  southern Nigeria. She hails from Calabar, born into a family of 4 children. She is also the first born.

 

Educational Background

Kate had her primary and secondary education in Calabar where she obtained her first and secondary school certificates respectively. She later went to the University of Calabar to have a Bachelor’s degree in Micro Biology. Upon graduation, she worked briefly at the Bauchi General Hospital before relocating to Lagos for her acting career.

Kate made her journey into Nollywood in 1993 after starring in her first movie “When The Sun Sets”, a movie that shot her to fame.
