She was born on the 8th of September, 1988 to the family of Lucian and Hassan in Mombasa in Kenya. She is the only child of her parents.
Sarah Hassan had her primary and secondary education at Machakos Girls High school in Mombasa, Kenya where she obtained her first and secondary school certificates respectively.
She later bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science at Jombo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

Sarah Hassan began her acting dated back to her early age of 5, playing roles in TV series and movies.
She was actually shot to fame and recognition in Kenyan movie industry in 2009 when she took major roles professionally in TV show “Tahidi High” as Tanya.
Sarah is creative and highly talented and ever ready to take any role in most movies. Some of her movies include Saints and Changes, The Wedding Show and Demigods among others.
She co-starred with Wunmi Musaku in a movie “I Am A Slave”.
In 2009, Sarah featured and produced TV series “Plan B”, a movie she featured alongside Daniel Etim Effiong. The movie was said to be very successful with over one million followers on YouTube within the first two weeks of its release.
