He was born August 26, 1979 in Kaduna State to Mr. and Mrs. Victor Godfrey. Tim is the second son in a family of six children. He had his up-bringing in Kaduna but hails from Abia State in south eastern Nigeria.
Timothy had his primary and secondary education in Kaduna.
He later went to Trinity International University of Ambassadors, Georgia, USA where he bagged a Doctorate degree in Fine Art and Musicology in 2018.
His Music Career
Tim Godfrey began his music career in 2004 when he was a Choir director in his church.
He however commenced his music career professionally on the 14th of February, 2004 and has since become prominent in the field of gospel music in Africa.
Tim Godfrey is a music director and founder of Tim Godfrey and the Xtreme Crew, rated one of the best modern gospel groups in Nigeria. The group has received numerous awards, including the Awards for Musical Excellence in Nigeria at the 2005 Amen Awards.
Tim Godfrey and the Xtreme Crew group is focused on evangelism, and they also offer professional concerts and shows throughout the country and beyond.
Tim has so far in his gospel music journey performed at concerts and churches across the world. He has also collaborated with several international gospel artistes including the Grammy-winning Gospel Musician Kirk Franklin.
