Nedu Wazobia (Mallam Musa): Biography And Net Worth

Chinedu Ani Emmanuel is his real name, but widely and fondly called Nedu Wazobia. He is a popular Nigerian on-air personality, broadcaster, TV presenter, actor, comedian and content creator, known for his pidgin rendition of the daily news on popular radio station, Wazobia FM 94.1, Lagos.

He was born on August 5,1982 in Kaduna, Nigeria. Nedu hails from Enugu State.

His Educational Background

Nedu Wazobia obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Madonna University, Elele Okija, Anambra state.

His Career

Nedu Wazobia began his journey into broadcasting in a radio station when he did his NYSC in Jigawa State.

He worked briefly on his relocation back to Abuja as a site manager. After 2 years of working, he resigned and moved to Lagos to fulfill his age-long dream of being a broadcaster and entertainer.

Nedu has since proved himself as a veteran. He is well known for his short and hilarious comedy films, laden with unique pidgin creole on daily news when broadcasting on Wazobia FM.

The comic entertainer has remained prominent on social media garnering lots of followers on various media platform with his millions of views on different video streaming platforms. He is fondly addressed as Officer Jato and Nkechi.

Aside broadcasting, Nedu is a good comic actor. He has appeared in several Nollywood movies, where he did remarkably well. One can rightly say he is an all-round entertainer.

His Marital Life

Nedu Wazobia was married to an Igbo lady, Uzoamaka Ohiri.

Nedu and Uzoamaka Ohiri got married in the year 2013, but the relationship was short live, due to some paternity fraud and infidelity. The couple got separated with three children.

NDA Controversy:

Like every other being on earth, Nedu also had a fair share of controversy.

Friday September 3, 2023, Ohiri accused Nedu of domestic violence. She revealed that Nedu battered her a few weeks after she was delivered of their child after a Cesarean section.

On September 4, 2023, Nedu responded to his wife’s allegations and denied physically violating his wife.

He revealed that their marriage was plagued with a lot of issues. According to Nedu, ‘‘Our marriage was plagued with a lot of issues. One of which was continuous infidelity from her side that led to me conducting a paternity test on our kids which led to the revelation that our first son is not my biological son even though he was born within the period during which we were married’’.

To substantiate his claims, he also posted a copy of the DNA test which was conducted by a forensic laboratory, Viaguard Accu-metrics, located in Toronto Canada.

Although Uzoamaka had said that she did not cheat on Nedu during their brief marriage, she noted that she did not intentionally give another man’s baby to her ex-husband. Uzoamaka stated that she was already pregnant for her ex before she married Nedu, albeit, unbeknownst to her.

Uzoamaka claimed that shortly after her previous relationship ended, she decided to get to know Nedu. They got married while she was pregnant, not knowing that he wasn’t responsible for the pregnancy. She was visibly pregnant during the wedding and everyone could see it. She said that it was communication issues which were solely responsible for the disruption of their marriage. She said that their marriage was plagued with domestic violence and that it was not the DNA test report that led to their eventual divorce.
