NoLay, also addressed as Isabella Gotti, has her real name as Natalie Athanasiou. She is a famous British national born-lyricist, singer and songwriter.

She was born on December 1, 1985 in Croydon, England. NoLay is of Caribbean descent, in the Southern London where she had her elementary and higher education respectively.

NoLay’s Music Career

NoLay started off as a member of the Unorthoox Ensemble on the Urban scene.

Her debut solo album, ‘Unorthodox Daughter’ was made possible by Unorthodox‘s 2005 release of ‘No Help or Handouts’, which received wide attention of top labels in the music industry. The song was aired on television and entered the MTV Hip Hop Chart.

The song was a huge success and featured on the Warner imprint label 679 Recordings collection Run The Road (2005) and featured UK grime artistes like Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Kano, and others.

The song was given wide and exceptional promotion it deserved, as the label sent record stores a vinyl that had only Plan B and Nolay. Based on the huge success recorded by Run The Road, 679 decided to issue a second volume in 2006 and NoLay was featured once more on the album with her song ‘Unorthodox Chick’.

NoLay and Mobb Deep appeared on the Australian electronic rock band The Bumblebeez‘s 2006 song Fuck Disco and the duo later embarked on Europe tour.

In 2009, NoLay appeared as a guest on Mongrel‘s ‘Better Than Heavy’ album.

She also collaborated with Tricky on his 2014 album, ‘Adrian Thaws’ and went on tour with him in Europe.

In 2017, the talented music star released the album ‘This Woman’ after a dozen EP and mixtape releases over a decade. The song was preceded by the domestic violence-focused music video for the song ‘Dancing With The Devil’.

According to NOW Entertainment Magazine, NoLay published a brand-new song in 2023 called Gang Shit, which appears on the third list of her seven-track Hip-hop/Rap album, Kalas.
