Femi Branch, whose real name is Femi Babafemi Branch is a renowned Nigerian actor, producer, director, playwright and television personality.
He was born on the 14th of May, 1970 in Sagamu, Ogun State to Mr. and Mrs. Osunkoya who were both professional teachers. He hails from Odosenbora, a community in Ijebu North East Local Government area of Ogun State.
Femi had his primary education in satellite Town primary school Ojo and Air Force Secondary school in Ikeja both in Lagos State, where he obtained his first and secondary school certificates respectively.
He later went to Obafemi Awolowo University in Osun State for his Bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Arts. He has since remained active and relevant in the movie industry.
His Acting Career
Femi Branch who joined Nollywood after graduation, actually had his entry into acting profession dated back to his University days in Obafemi Awolowo University in 1991.
He acted a Yoruba stage play “Eniyan”, a play that that shot him to recognition and fame.
He again featured in another popular movie titled “Orisun”, meaning Origin, organized by the Department of Dramatic Arts of the University.
He is creative, skillful and exceptionally talented Nollywood actor. He is gifted at interpreting movie roles and can as well accept any character in movies.
Femi has starred in over 100 Nollywood movies, some of which include Away From Home, Twisted, Out of Luck, Behind the Siege, Blaze of Glory, Wives and Concubines, the Italian Job, Senseless, Triangle, A Place in the Stars, Emerald, This Life, Needles Eyes and the famous ‘Domino’, a television Soap Opera where he played the role of Oscar.
