Charles was born on the 20th of November 1971, in Benin City, Edo State. Charles Novia grew up in Benin City. He is known for movies like the Missing Angel 2004, Caught in The Middle and Alan Poza 2013. He is the CEO and founder of November Productions Limited.

Charles had his primary and secondary education in Benin City where he obtained his first and secondary education respectively.

In 2014, he was appointed a member of the Nigerian team to screen Nollywood films for Best Foreign language category of the Academy Awards by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The versatile and talented filmmaker recently launched the first Teen Centric TV station, Teen Africa TV (TATV) on DSTv and Gotv. He is also a member of the Oscars Selection Committee (NOSC).
Charles Novia has attended several film festivals, including the Nigerian Film Festival in Amsterdam, where his movie, “For Your Love”, was showcased.
