The Lagos State Office of Education, Quality of Assurance of the Ministry of Education has announced new date for public and private schools in the state to resume on Monday the 25th of April, 2022 in line with the harmonized Academic calendar for 2023/2024 session.
In a statement released by the Director General, Office of Education, Quality of Assurance of the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, all proprietors and administrators are to ensure that students resume on Monday the 25th of April, 2022.
The Director General stated that the 2nd term holiday which started on Friday the 8th of April, 2022 ends on Friday the 22nd of April, 2022 as stated in the 2023/2024 academic calendar session, while the 3rd term begins on the 25th of April, 2022. The public holidays within the term like the Workers day, Eid-El ftr and Eid-El Kabir were put into consideration and embedded in the calendar.
The Director General advised all students to shun all forms of social vices as they prepare for resumption and parents to monitor their wards at home.
The Director General also advised all proprietors and administrators to ensure that all Lagos State safeguarding and child protection are strictly complied with. Schools are also to ensure that all safety protocols are to be fully complied with as the state government is committed to delivery of quality education.
