How To Answer WAEC/NECO Question On Speech By Out Going Senior Prefect

A Speech By The Out Going Senior Prefect During The Graduation Ceremony  of  The 2018/2019 Academic Session of  Dan College held on 10th of June, 2019.

Mr. Chairman,

My able Principal,

Our dear Parents,

Staff and my colleagues,

All protocols duly observed.

The saying that “what has a beginning must have an end” is a manifestation of what we are experiencing today, being the graduation day of our students 2018/2019 session in this great institution. Yes! When I was appointed senior prefect of this great school, last year, I saw the appointment as an uphill task and a journey of thousand miles.

I am grateful to Almighty God that the journey has finally come to an end with success. First and foremost, I owe a debt of gratitude to my able principal and staff for the opportunity given to me and my colleagues to serve. It was indeed educative, laden with unimaginable experiences.

Today, I and my colleagues are joyfully sitting like Kings as graduates from this citadel of learning. Is a dream really come through, and now we have been considered worthy in character and in learning.

I must say it was not really easy, combining academic work with school duties as a senior prefect. But by dint of hard work and my determination to succeed in this assignment coupled with the cooperation of my co-executives, we were able to make it to the Glory of God.

Again, the success recorded would not have been possible without the cooperation of my able teachers, all throughout the period. Their advice, the extra strength put in to ensure that we were able to meet up with rigorous academic work was wonderful. The Almighty God will bless you abundantly.

To the non teaching staff as well, I must express my deep appreciation to you for your inflicting support and cooperation throughout the duration.

To my fellow colleagues and entire students, I am very grateful for the support and cooperation you accorded us through out the period. Without you, nothing much would have been achieved. I pray God Almighty will continue to guide and protect you all in your endeavours.

To my fellow graduating students, I want to say a big congratulations! You have toiled all throughout the duration and you have emerged successful graduates of this citadel of learning. However, let me briefly give you some words of advice that you should learn to do things right and refrain from things that will tarnish your image and that of your Alma mater.  Be versatile in all the things you do. Be humane, diligent and set a goal of success for yourself and believe that the Almighty God will surely crown all your efforts with success.

To my students we left behind, I advise you to work very hard and read your book seriously as this is the only way to success. By the special grace of God, by this time next year, some of you  will be sitting here like us, smiling and rejoicing in the Lord.

This speech can never be complete without giving kudos to our lovely parents whose efforts have been so wonderful to see the realization of this laudable achievement.  The Lord God will continue to strengthen you to reap bountifully from what you have sown.

Finally, I owe a dept of gratitude to all and sundry I cannot mention here who in one way or the other have contributed to the success we have recorded here today. Thank you all and remain blessed.
